7.1.1 Payments
Direct Deposit
- Your pay will be automatically deposited into the bank account you provide.
Paycheck Deductions
- WBN does not cover currency exchange fees.
- Any unpaid time off or leave will be deducted from your pay.
- WBN doesn’t deduct taxes. Staff members must handle taxes in their country.
Monthly Payments:
You will receive your monthly payment between the 21st and 23rd. If delayed, please contact your Manager after the 23rd.
In Honduras, bank accounts must be in USD, not Lempiras.
7.1.2 Method of Payment
Your payment method will be arranged during your onboarding process and set up for monthly payments.
We strive to ensure that your paycheck is accurate. If you notice any mistakes in your payment, please contact your manager right away so we can correct the issue as quickly as possible.
7.2 Benefits
7.2.1 Wellness Benefit
As a part of our benefits package, staff members who have completed three months of tenure will be eligible for a $50 wellness benefit.
7.2.2 Salary Increases
Staff members are also eligible for a yearly salary increase based on their tenure, goals, and personal performance.
7.3 Paid Time Off Policy
7.3.1 Paid Time Off (PTO)
Earning PTO:
- For every month you work at WBN you accumulate 1.5 days of PTO. This adds up to a total of 18 days per year.
- PTO accrual is capped at 18 days. Any PTO that has been scheduled on People Force but not yet taken is also counted as part of your available balance.
- Once your PTO balance (including any time already scheduled in People Force) reaches 18 days, your accrual pauses.
- Accrual resumes automatically after you take PTO and your balance falls below 18 days.
- This policy applies to all staff members working full-time (40 hours a week). For staff members working part-time (fewer than 40 hours a week), PTO accrual is prorated based on contracted weekly hours.
Using PTO:
- PTO can be used for vacations, personal days, sick leave, or any time you need to step away from work.
- Request PTO at least one month in advance to get approval from your Manager.
-
For emergencies, notify your Manager as soon as possible.
Holidays:
- In addition to your 18 PTO days per year, WBN observes the following US Holidays, which are considered non-working days for all staff:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- New Year’s Day
Leaving WBN:
- If you resign or are terminated, WBN will pay for any unused PTO you’ve earned.
7.3.2 Bereavement Leave
If a close family member (husband, wife, child, parents, siblings, grandparents) passes away, you can get 2 days of paid leave. You will need to provide official documents.
7.3.3 Maternity/Paternity Leave
If you’ve been with WBN for over 1 year, you can take up to 2 months of maternity/paternity leave at half pay.
After 3 years with WBN, you can take up to 3 months of leave.
7.4 Unpaid Time Off
7.4.1 Leave of absence for emergencies
You need to use all your paid time off before asking for unpaid leave. Unpaid leave will be granted at your Manager’s discretion.
